Registration now open for WISE 2026 Conference

Registration is now open for the annual West Virginia University Interventional & Surgical Endoscopy (WISE) Conference, taking place May 15-16, 2026, at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, Pennsylvania.

Hosted by the Advanced Center for Endoscopy at WVU Medicine, WISE 2026 will build on the success of previous years, offering high-impact educational programming focused on advanced endoscopy techniques and clinical innovation. The conference is designed to provide practical learning experiences that participants can apply immediately in their clinical practice.

WISE 2026 will feature in-depth presentations from leading faculty, small-group hands-on lab sessions with expert instruction, and real-time learning through live endoscopy cases. The curriculum will focus on evolving techniques, technologies and clinical strategies across interventional and surgical endoscopy.

The conference is directed by Shyam Thakkar, M.D., FASGE, professor and director of advanced therapeutic endoscopy, and Shailendra Singh, M.D., associate professor and director of bariatric endoscopy for the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

This conference is intended for gastroenterologists, surgeons, internal medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and endoscopy technicians.

WISE continues to attract a growing and highly engaged clinical audience from across the region, the nation and internationally, reflecting its reputation as a premier educational event in endoscopy.
