Reminder to employees: Don't flush 'flushable' wipes
Employees are reminded that the practice of flushing wipes into the sewer system can cause considerable damage, and potentially close down procedure or patient rooms.
Facilities engineering has found that sanitizing wipes are now entering drain lines at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Sanitizing wipes have a much stronger cloth and will not break up when exposed to water. They can create a shield inside pipes that drain snakes cannot break through.
