School of Medicine faculty members to participate as panelists in national discussion on balance billing and No Surprise Act

A national group of physician leaders and experts, which includes two WVU School of Medicine faculty members, will be hosting a panel discussion on balance billing and the No Surprise Act on Thursday, May 26, at 8 p.m.

The presentation, titled “Balance Billing, the No Surprise Act – a National Discussion,” will be held via Zoom. Registration information can be found here.

The panel will include Shafic Sraj, M.D., associate professor for the Department of Orthopaedics and president of the  West Virginia State Medical Association, and Lisa Costello, M.D., M.P.H. assistant professor for the Department of Pediatrics and president-elect of the West Virginia State Medical Association. The panel will also consist of members from the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
