Servaes to serve on the American Academy of Pediatrics Executive Committee
Sabah Servaes, MD, FAAP, professor of radiology and vice chair of pediatric imaging for WVU Medicine Children’s will serve on the American Academy of Pediatrics Executive Committee of the Section on Radiology.
Dr. Servaes was elected to the position and her term begins Nov. 1, 2024, and ends Oct. 31, 2027.
She joined the WVU School of Medicine from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she was a pediatric radiologist and director of Body CT in the Department of Radiology. She also directed the department's fellowship and residency programs.
She is board-certified in diagnostic and pediatric radiology with more than 22 years of experience. She has clinical and research expertise in ovarian torsion, CT dose reduction, child abuse and appendicitis.
She earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and was a surgery intern at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She was a radiology resident at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York and a pediatric radiology fellow at Children’s Hospital in Boston.
She is the 2019 American Board of Radiology Volunteer Service Award winner. She has also been published and is a reviewer for numerous professional publications.
