Bravo! to debut new and improved Service Award Gift Program

The Bravo! Reward and Recognition Program will debut a new and improved Service Award Gift Program, starting July 1, at most WVU Medicine hospitals.

While the program launches July 1, those employees who reached a milestone from Jan. 1, 2021, through June 30, 2021 – and who work at a hospital new to the program – will also be included and receive an email notification with redemption instructions in early July.

The program provides a simple, efficient, and user-friendly way to recognize employees' service milestones, while creating a memorable employee experience.

Every employee milestone is recognized in five-year increments (i.e., 5, 10, 15, etc.), and each milestone is awarded points (one point = $1). Points, which can be used for gifts, never expire, so employees don't have to decide right away. Save your points and redeem them at a later date. You can log in and check/use your points at any time.

In a workforce that features five generations, WVU Medicine has employees covered with an expansive gift selection. The virtual catalogues offer real-time/real-world pricing, which allows for instant access to sale and discounted items, too.

So how does it work? Employees will receive a customized email on their service anniversary date – one that includes the following:

  • Congratulatory message from hospital president and CEO
  • Amount of points being awarded based on the milestone
  • Instructions on how to redeem points
  • Customer service information

Make sure to check out the anniversary wall on the Bravo! website. It features leader and peer congratulatory comments, and a way to send shout-outs and e-cards to fellow employees.

And while the program is launching at most WVU Medicine hospitals, the following hospitals will onboard the program in July 2022: Barnesville Hospital, Uniontown Hospital, and Wheeling Hospital.
