UPDATE (9/30/25)

Changes to the SOLE login screen that had been scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 1, are being delayed until Tuesday, Oct. 7, to allow for further testing. ITS will send a reminder on the morning of Oct. 6.

ORIGINAL (9/29/25)

SOLE users can expect to see changes to the SOLE login screen after 5 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1.

If you have a WVU Login or WVU Medicine Login, choose the WVU/ WVU Medicine Sign-In button, select your role when prompted, and authenticate using the Okta Verify app or a supported multi-factor token.
If you are a SOLE user who doesn’t have a WVU or WVU Medicine Login, click the Non-WVU/WVU Medicine Sign-In button and use your email address, password and multi-factor authentication app to access SOLE.
Please note that disruptions to SOLE access are possible as part of this change. If you experience any login issues, please clear your web browser history and cookies, then relaunch your browser. If problems persist, call the ITS Service Desk at 304-293-4444. They are available Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends noon to 8 p.m. If you are a WVUM-only user and need login assistance, please contact the WVU Medicine Help Desk at 304-598-4357. If the login change causes any other problems with SOLE, ITS will notify the SOLEUSERS listserv as soon as possible and work to restore the affected service as quickly as possible.
This change is part of a broader effort to modernize authentication at WVU to standardize the user experience, improve security, and reduce costs and complexity.
