Volunteer Services seeks college students to play WVU Medicine Children's mascot Musket
Volunteer Services is accepting applications now through Wednesday, Sept. 7, for two candidates to serve as the new Musket mascot for WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital. This is a scholarship opportunity of $1,500 for college students who are enrolled full-time. More criteria is available on the application form.
The candidates must be able to commit to five hours total per week, with flexibility to work more for special events. The first performance for Musket is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 29.
Due to the construction of the costume, the candidates should be no less than 5-foot-6 and no taller than 5-foot-10. There will be an audition to serve as the Musket mascot; candidates will have a chance to try on the costume and perform.
