Walk-in services at all WVU Medicine Release of Information offices are temporarily closed

WVU Medicine's Enterprise Information Management (EIM) Release of Information offices will be temporarily closing all walk-in services windows at all locations to limit employee and customer exposure to the COVID-19 virus pandemic.

Tip sheets will be provided to all WVU Medicine facility entrances with directives for customers with release of information needs. Handouts will be monitored and replenished as needed.

Release of Information services will continue to be provided as follows:

Phone: Each location will continue to answer phones until a consolidated Enterprise Information Management phone tree for all facilities can be developed.

Mail and fax: Each location will continue to process mail-in and fax requests.

Email: Requests will be processed from a centralized email address – WVUHROIRequest@wvumedicine.org – and distributed to individual sites.

MyWVUChart: Requests may be processed through MyWVUChart.org.

To support the potential increase in MyWVUChart and proxy requests, additional resources have been added to both the MyWVUChart and the Release of Information teams to ensure timely service to customers.
