Welcome and Inclusion Subcommittee provides best practices for welcoming new employees

The WVU Health Sciences Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Subcommittee on Welcome and Inclusion aims to foster a sense of belonging among employees.

To help supervisors at the Health Sciences Center ensure new employees feel welcome, the subcommittee has developed New Hire Best Practices.

The guide was developed using feedback collected from a survey distributed to new employees.

In addition to the guide provided by the Subcommittee on Welcome and Inclusion, the Division of Talent & Culture People Leader’s Guide to Welcoming New Employees includes inspiring examples, practical guides and checklists that supervisors need to create a powerful onboarding experience for new Mountaineers.
