Wellness Center fully operational, removes masking requirement
Due to COVID-19 masking restrictions being relaxed, the WVU Medicine Wellness Center has re-opened all strength training equipment, as well as the showers in the locker room.
The Center is located on the fourth floor of the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute (entrance is past the clinic registration desk, close to the Ruby Cafeteria). Hours are weekdays, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.-6:30 a.m. There is 24-hour unlimited access on Saturday and Sunday.
The Wellness Center is available to all employees of WVU Medicine and University Health Associates, and students and employees of the WVU Health Sciences Center. Spouses and dependents of employees may join as well; dependents must be 16 years of age or older to join and if under 18 must be accompanied by a parent at all times.
To join the Wellness Center, send email to wellnesscenter@hsc.wvu.edu and a staff member will set up a time to meet with you in Room G-281 (ground floor, WVU Health Sciences Center). At that time, you can complete a brief medical history and waiver form, and pay a one-time fee of $10. Employee spouses and dependents pay a one-time fee of $20.
Current members who had a past membership at the Wellness Center when it was located in the WVU Cancer Institute can visit the Security/Parking Office located on the fourth floor of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital weekdays between 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. for Galaxy card access to the fitness center.
