Honoring Those Who Served

WVU Health Sciences recognizes student veterans

With gratitude for their service on Veterans Day and always, WVU Health Sciences is recognizing its student veterans. Several students across Health Sciences recently shared why they chose to serve. Read their responses below:

"Being a nursing major, I find that the military has prepared me well for high stress situations, and how I need to react and handle them accordingly."

"One of the reasons I joined the military was so I could better relate to my future patients. I have a strong desire to work in the VA Healthcare Systems so that I may give back to those who have served before me."

"Enlisting was the single best decision I've ever made. I became disciplined and learned how to be a leader. It is and will continue to serve me well in healthcare."

The Health Sciences community is thinking of all our veterans on Veterans Day, and thanking each of you for all you did for our country.
