WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center to host blood drive
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center and Vitalant, one of the nation’s oldest and largest non-profit community blood services provider, will host a blood drive on July 30.
The blood drive will be held in the hospital’s eighth floor classroom from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Although walk-ins are welcome, donors are encouraged to make an appointment online at vitalant.org or by calling 877-258-4825. Use group code W4310011.
Vitalant is the exclusive blood product supplier for all WVU Medicine hospitals. Blood donated at one of the Vitalant blood drives in the Eastern Panhandle comes back to Jefferson Medical Center and Berkeley Medical Center to treat patients locally.
All participating donors will receive a Fandana, while supplies last. A Fandana is an all-purpose unisex accessory which can be used as a bandana, headband, scrunchie, neck warmer, muffler, armband, wristband or rally towel.
