WVU Medicine Children’s transitions to new phones and numbers
Starting Sept. 26, many WVU Medicine Children’s telephone numbers will change during the transition from Spectralink to TelecomNG.
Children's has established an Incident Command Center (temporarily located in the 10th Floor Family Resource Center), which will be in operation from Sept. 27-Oct. 10 and staffed 24/7.
Call 304-554-8539 for assistance from leadership, security, and medical-technical specialists.
Below are other important items to note during the transition.
Main contact numbers:
- WVU Medicine Children’s Main Hospital – 304-598-1111
- WVU Medicine Clinic Appointments – 1-855-WVU-CARE
- MARS Line – 1-800-WVA-MARS
- Neonatal and Peds Transport – 1-855-WVU-KIDS
- Maternal Transport – 1-844-WVU-MOMS
- House Supervisor – 304-554-8522
For Children’s Hospital:
- Dial 6-digit extensions from extension to extension
- Dial 10-digit numbers for external contacts
- For Children’s, dial 304-554-XXXX (new extension)
- For HSC, dial 304-293-XXXX
- Add “1” for WVUH extensions
- For overhead code pages, dial 17-7777
- For Security, dial 17-4444
There is no change when calling other WVUH extensions; those extensions will continue to use 5-digit extension numbers. When calling Children’s, use the new 6-digit extensions.
