WVU Medicine Human Resources announces promotions

WVU Medicine has made some organizational Human Resources leadership changes to better support WVU Hospitals and the WVU Health System (WVUHS).

Wendy Mazzei will assume the role of Human Resources manager for WVUHS Corporate Services, providing leadership to the system’s corporate departments (Finance, IT, Compliance, etc), Home Health and Hospice, System Medical Group, Allied Health Solutions, and Peak Health. Mazzei will report to Leeann Kaminsky, chief human resources officer, WVU Medicine/Allied Health Solutions.

Mazzei has provided strategic business partner support to system departments since 2015 and has more than 10 years of professional human resources experience.

Colleen Sybert will assume the role of vice president of human resources for WVU Hospitals. Sybert will provide executive leadership support and serve ase a strategic business partner that promotes the organization's core values and mission through strategic planning and management of human resources programs. She also will be responsible for developing and implementing human capital strategies, and maintaining strong relationships with leadership teams and internal customers.

Sybert, who has been with WVU Medicine since 2017, has more than 20 years of professional human resources experience.
