WVU Medicine Tuesday Talks: Robotic Head and Neck Surgery

In the past, there had been only limited surgical options for treating head and neck cancers and disorders. The tumors or problem areas were exceedingly difficult to reach with standard open surgery. Minimally invasive robotic head and neck surgery has made it possible to access the hard-to-reach places in the head and neck where tumors and cancers were previously too difficult to reach, avoiding major invasive surgery and reducing recovery times.

In the latest Tuesday Talks, Meghan Turner, MD, of the WVU Medicine Department of Otolaryngology, discusses robotic head and neck surgery.
