WVU OT Alumni Named Employee of the Year
Alumni from the WVU Division of Occupational Therapy continue to serve as leaders in the profession and community. Recently, alumnus Lindsey Elliott, MOT, OTR/L was recognized with the Employee of the Year Award. When asked about her recognition, she expressed gratitude to her former professors, coworkers, friends, patients, parents, and people in the community who have supported and continue to support her throughout this journey!
Building upon her experience from a local inpatient rehabilitation setting, Elliott currently provides outpatient occupational therapy services to adults and children with a variety of conditions. She recently obtained her Certified Autism Specialist certification and is the Autism Center Supervisor. Her current projects include designing a sensory gym space, community integration, and developing an Autism parent support group for the community.
Elliott is a native of Morgantown, WV. She graduated from WVU with two bachelor's degrees: BS in Child Development & Family Studies and a BA in Human Performance and Health. In 2018, she received her Masters in Occupational Therapy. In addition to her roles as an occupational therapist, Elliot also is a mom of triplet toddlers, enjoys listening to podcasts, and also serves as a majorette instructor and theatre choreographer.
