WVU OT Alumni Spotlight - Richard Steenson

The WVU Division of Occupational Therapy Alumni Spotlight features Richard Steenson, MOT, OTR/L this month. An alumnus of the MOT class of 2005, Steenson has 17 years of practice with a primary focus in gerontology. 

After a variety of practice settings including assistive living facilities, independent living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities, Steenson developed a passion for home modification. 

Recently, Steenson earned an Executive Certification in Home Modification from the University of Southern California.  Steenson founded Heathy Home Therapy Solutions LLC where he provides his clients home modification research, products, funding strategies, policies, and community planning.

Steenson has incorporated horticulture therapeutic gardening into his practice and authored the OT Practice entitled "Growing Independence."
