WVU School of Dentistry faculty, staff honored for longtime service

Five members of the West Virginia University School of Dentistry were recently recognized for their loyal and dedicated service to the state of West Virginia.

During a school-wide gathering, Julie Wolford, Dr. Peter Ngan, Lori Groover, Carol Glover and Dr. Lester Bakos received a Certificate of Appreciation from Gov. Jim Justice, presented by Dean Dr. Stephen Pachuta, in recognition of their many years of service to the Mountain State and its people.

Wolford, executive secretary in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, was honored for 25 years of service.

Dr. Ngan, chair of the Department of Orthodontics, was honored for 30 years of service.

Groover, administrative assistant in the Department of Dental Hygiene, was honored for 35 years of service.

Glover, program assistant for clinical administration, was honored for 40 years of service.

Dr. Bakos, professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, was honored for 45 years of service.
