WVU School of Nursing to host DNP Nurse Anesthetist Virtual Open House on July 27
The West Virginia University School of Nursing is hosting an online information session for the DNP Nurse Anesthetist program on Saturday, July 27 at 9 a.m. via Zoom.
During the event, attendees can learn more about the program from director Dr. Aaron Ostrowski.
The online event is open to anyone interested in becoming a nurse anesthetist, but recruitment specialist Phillip Engelkemier says the event will be most beneficial to individuals who have completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and are considering applying for the program within the next year or two.
“Prospective students can learn about application deadlines, as well as program requirements and cost,” Engelkemier said. “Attendees can also learn more about the curriculum and they will have an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.”
Graduates of the program will earn a DNP degree and be eligible to sit for the National Certification Exam (NCE). Those who pass the NCE will become Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists or CRNAs.
Register online to receive Zoom information. For additional information, email Phillip.Engelkemier@hsc.wvu.edu or Aaron.Ostrowski@hsc.wvu.edu.
Prospective students can also read recent graduate profiles, Megan Bryant and Kenton Schrock, to learn more about their experience.
