WVU School of Public Health announces 2026 Research Day award winners

As part of National Public Health Week, the WVU School of Public Health celebrated outstanding student and faculty research during the School of Public Health Research Day, held on April 10, 2026, at the WVU Health Sciences Center.

The event brought together students and faculty from across the school to showcase innovative research addressing today’s most pressing public health challenges. From community health and health equity to disease prevention and data-driven solutions, presenters highlighted the impact of work taking place across various public health disciplines through poster presentations and graphical abstract presentations.

School of Public Health Research Day winners include:

  • Faculty Graphical Abstract Competition: Toni Rudisill
  • Delta Omega Poster Competition: Devon Collins
  • General Poster Competition: Alexis Thrower
  • People's Choice Poster Competition: Sabrina Thorn

These individuals represent the school’s commitment to contributing impactful research within the public health community.
