WVU to host ninth annual Rural Health Day for pre-health students April 5
The ninth annual WVU Rural Health Day will be held on April 5, 2025 at the WVU Health Sciences Center. This event is designed for pre-health students interested in pursuing careers in rural health care.
What to Expect:
- Hands-on Workshops: Students will participate in workshops focused on suturing, diagnostic ultrasound, intubation and behavioral medicine.
- Panel Discussions: A rural health panel with clinicians from across West Virginia, as well as a student-led panel discussion, will provide valuable insights.
- Networking Opportunities: Participants will have the chance to connect with health care professionals, students and faculty members passionate about rural health.
Undergraduate health professions students with an interest in rural health care are encouraged to apply.
The application is now open. Slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional applicants may be considered if spots become available.
