Application Requirements
We will accept applications through ERAS each summer/fall for the following year’s fellowship spots. We participate in the MATCH to fill the two positions.
We are recruiting applicants from the specialties of Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics.
Due to the nature of the current program and the various locations of the clinics, we do not offer rotations to individuals from outside of the West Virginia University Sports Medicine Fellowship program at this time.
Applicants must be board-eligible or certified and have graduated from an ACGME-approved residency in one of the specialties listed above (Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics) Fellows will be appointed at the appropriate postgraduate level consistent with previous experience and training, and receive a stipend and benefits consistent with the level of appointment.
The fellowship program participates with the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) under the supervision of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM). Interested applicants may apply to ERAS using the MyERAS application requested from the AMSSM. The program subscribes to all application, interviewing and match list deadlines specified by the NRMP.
