Third Year Medical Student Clerkship

West Virginia University Department of Emergency Medicine is pleased to offer an elective clerkship experience for third year medical students. In this two-week experience, students will be scheduled for full clinical shifts with our dedicated teaching faculty and senior residents in the Emergency Department at Ruby Memorial. They will experience the day-to-day clinical life of an Emergency Medicine Physician while administering supervised care to a varied patient population with wide spectrum of medical conditions. Along with their daily interaction with our faculty and residents, students will be given dedicated time with our educational faculty for the purposes of exploring and advising a career in Emergency Medicine, a mentorship process that extends well beyond the bounds of the elective.

All students interested in the rotation or interested in a career in Emergency Medicine should contact our Clerkship Coordinator, Ms. Haley Brewer, at haley.brewer@wvumedicine.org and our Clerkship Director, Dr. Anthony Steratore, at afsteratore@hsc.wvu.edu with any questions.
