Fellowships

Advance your career at West Virginia University

It’s more than just getting to see the relevant cases and working closely with faculty to increase your skillset and knowledge as a provider, it’s an opportunity to research, stay sharp and hear from renown faculty about advancements in the field. And that’s only within our facilities; many departments provide opportunities for attending national conferences and learning opportunities, so you are complete control of how much you’d like to learn from us.

The cornerstone of education is to never stop learning and at WVU, we provide fellows with access to departmental conferences, grand rounds and programs for almost endless opportunities to grow weekly. Additional opportunities exist within departments on a monthly basis, too. Some of these may allow for Continuing Medical Education credits to be earned.

Opportunities for research exist within the University in its many departments, divisions and sections and extend through its external collaborations with institutes like West Virginia Clinical Science Institute (WVCTSI), who offer research grants, and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Every fellowship works with specialty organizations and conferences to provide the chance to present your research on an international stage with funding provided from CME.
