Conference Summary
Monday Noon Conference Series (12:00pm – 1:00pm) - Mandatory
- Patient Safety/Quality Improvement Conference: led by faculty
- Localization Rounds: review interesting localization cases, led by faculty
- EEG Curriculum: review interesting EEGs, led by faculty
- EMG Curriculum: review interesting EMGs, led by faculty
- Pediatric Neurology Conference (last Monday of every month), led by faculty
Tuesday Noon Conference Series (12:00pm – 1:00pm)
- RITE/Board Preparation: led by residents (mandatory)
- Movement Disorders Didactics: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of month, led by faculty (optional)
Wednesday Noon Conference Series (12:00pm – 1:00pm) - Mandatory
- Didactics: presented by faculty and cover clinical neurology and Basic Sciences (Neuropathology, Neurochemistry, Neurophysiology).
Friday Neurology Grand Rounds (8:00am – 9:00am) - Mandatory
- Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute Lecture Series: Visiting professors in the fields of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Psychiatry
- Grand Rounds presentations will also be led by Neurology Residents and Faculty.
Friday Noon Conference Series (12:00pm – 1:00pm) - Mandatory
- Stroke conference: 3rd Friday of every month, multidisciplinary conference to discuss monthly stroke activations and recent publications
- Journal Club: presented by faculty and residents
Optional Conferences
- Stroke Conferences: (Tuesday morning 7:00am - 8:00am) Interdisciplinary Conferences held every week to include the departments of neurology, neurosurgery, interventional neuroradiology and emergency medicine. These conferences include Morbidity & Mortality, Research and Performance and Quality Improvement. Most conferences are presented by faculty members.
- Neurocritical Care Conference:Every Tuesday (8:00am - 9:00am) presented by faculty and residents (mandatory during NCCU rotation).
- Epilepsy Conference: 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 5:00pm presented by interdepartmental faculty.
- RNI Research Partners Lecture Series: 1st Monday of every month from 12:00pm – 1:00pm. This conference series explores how clinicians and scientists within the WVU Neuroscience Institute successfully collaborate
- Money Lectures: Interdepartmental series of seven lectures annually held on Wednesdays from 12:00pm – 1:00pm covering topics related to billing, loans, managing a private practice, etc.
- WVU Medicine Children’s Neuroscience Center Grand Rounds: 3rd Thursday of Month (7:30am – 8:30am). Led by faculty from pediatric neurology, neurosurgery, and psychiatry.
- Child neurology/radiology: 4th Thursday (8:00am - 9:00am) presented by faculty and residents (mandatory during Child neurology rotation).
