Drug Free Moms and Babies (DFMB)

The Drug Free Moms and Babies (DFMB) program is a state-wide initiative of the West Virginia Perinatal Partnership. The DFMB Program focuses on providing support for mothers and their babies through a care-coordination model incorporating prevention, early intervention, addiction treatment, and recovery support, and other vital services that help the mother-baby dyad to thrive. The DFMB Program has sites all over the state, and each site has the flexibility to provide services in a way that meets local needs and demands, and is responsive to available resources. As each site has its own approach to providing care for its participants, each has its own unique program title. The DFMB program that serves Monongalia County and closely-surrounding areas is called the ACE Program. The DFMB program that serves Marion and Harrison Counties and closely-surrounding areas is Better Beginnings. Both are WVU Medicine-affiliated and provide services at WVU Medicine locations in their area. Click the links below to find out more.
