Clinical Experience
The fellow will be involved in an average of over 500 cases during the one-year training program. Each faculty member will spend time with the fellow in the operating room and clinic setting. The fellow will spend one day a week in the clinic and have at least a half day a week dedicated to research. Clinical experience will be gained in the following areas:
Hip
- Primary arthroplasty
- Complex primary arthroplasty
- Revision arthroplasty
- Complex pelvic reconstruction
- Custom and megaprostheses
- Post-traumatic arthritis
- Periprosthetic fractures
- Prosthetic joint infections
- Robotic-assisted surgery
- Arthroplasty for hip and acetabular fractures
- Direct anterior, posterior, and lateral surgical approaches
Knee
- Primary arthroplasty
- Complex primary arthroplasty
- Unicompartmental and patellofemoral arthroplasty
- Revision arthroplasty
- Megaprostheses
- Post-traumatic arthritis
- Periprosthetic fractures
- Prosthetic joint infections
- Computer and robotic-assisted surgery
- Arthroplasty for distal femur fractures
