Curriculum and Rotations
The fellowship curriculum encompasses the areas of clinical medicine, administrative practice, and scholarly activity in Neonatology. The academic year is divided into 12-month blocks.
PGY-4
- NICU: 5 months
- Delivery/Consults: 1/2 month
- MFM: 1/2 month
- Research/Electives: 6 months *
- Vacation: 1 month
- In-house Call: 11 months
- Outpatient Clinics: 10 per year
* total duration of the rotation is inclusive of allowed annual leave or vacation, call, clinic, and regional/national conference responsibilities. Research time may be reduced to allow for a limited number of additional clinical electives, as long the fellow is meeting research goals.
PGY-5
- NICU: 4 months
- BPD Team: 1 month
- Research/Electives: 6 months *
- Vacation: 1 month
- In-house Call: 10 months
- Outpatient Clinics: 10 per year
