Division of Pediatric Urology Increases National and International Footprint
The Division Urology has been busy presenting its research in the last six months.
Dr. Michael Ost presented his experience in the Management of Pediatric Kidney Stones in a Point-Counterpoint session at the 2019 American Urological Association Meeting in Chicago.
Dr. Osama Al-Omar presented the results of a study of a new 5 French Urodynamic catheter for children at the 2019 International Children Continence Society (ICCS) in Poland. The study entitled “A pivotal study to assess the performance and safety of a new 5 Fr air-charged catheter for performing urodynamic studies in pediatric patients” was well received.
Dr. Al-Omar also presented a video case about a unique approach for retained ureteral stent in patient with nephrolithiasis. The paper entitled “Combined antegrade and retrograde endoscopic approach for the Management of a forgotten stent in a pediatric patient” was presented at the 2019 World Congress of Endourology in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
