COMMUNITY PRACTICE

Mariam Shakeel, MD is a hospitalist at Uniontown Hospital. She completed internal medicine residency at Geisinger.

EMERGENCY MEDICINE

Julie Phillips, MD is the Medical Director of WVU Medicine Children’s Emergency Department. She was previously at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. She was also the associate medical director of Children’s Hospital Emergency Room at Lehigh Valley Medical Center in Allentown, PA. She completed pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Vanderbilt and pediatrics residency at the University of Connecticut. She earned her MD at WVU.

PEDIATRICS

Shiv Someshwar, MD is a pediatric hospitalist at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was formerly an associate professor of hospital medicine at George Washington School of Medicine, providing patient care at Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC. He was also a faculty pediatrician and hospitalist at WVU for several years. Poornima Murthy, MD is a neonatologist at Wheeling Hospital. She is a former consultant neonatologist at the University of Saskatchewan in Regina, Canada. She completed neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship and pediatrics residency at the University of Connecticut.
