Otolaryngology Department Sponsors Oral Cancer Screening Event

The WVU Department of Otolaryngology in partnership with the WVU Dental School offered a free Oral Cancer Screening event at the ENT Clinic in the Physician's Office Center on April 7, 2018.  Fifteen people were screened, with three referred for further evaluation.  This event is part of a state-wide effort, via rural dental sites to screen adults for oral cancer.  So far this year, approximately 150 people have been screened, with about 25% of those referred for further follow-up.
