HSC Student Laptop Computer Program

Students enrolled in either the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics or the Master of Science (MS) in Medical Laboratory Science are required to participate in the Health Sciences Student Laptop Computer program. For Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics (BS) students, this requirement is in effect at the beginning of the professional phase of the curriculum, while for Medical Laboratory Science (MS) students it is effective immediately upon matriculation in the program.

The cost of this required laptop is a recognized educational requirement and will be included in financial aid calculations. The one-time cost of the laptop will be a separate item on the tuition and fees bill for the first semester within the program.

The laptop will be utilized in every class, including testing, and other out of class assignments. Due to the security needed for specific programs on the laptop, students are unable to use their own computer for testing and classroom work.
