Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship
About the ACGME-Accredited Fellowship
- Part of WVU Medicine, which is a vertically integrated health care system serving all of West Virginia and contiguous states.
- The EP fellowship would be based at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, the WVU Medicine flagship, quaternary care facility.
- One EP fellow will be selected per year for this compulsory two-year fellowship. The inaugural candidate will thus be the sole fellow for 1 year.
- Very high clinical volume.
- Academic, multidisciplinary faculty.
- State of the art imaging, interventional/structural heart and cardiac surgery
- programs.
- Mechanical circulatory support and
- cardiac transplantation.
- Affiliated, geographically connected children’s hospital and pediatric EP program
Fellows can anticipate learning from faculty who evaluated more than 20,000+ patients and performed more than 1,000 procedures across the WVU Medicine system in 2023.

- SVT, AF, and endo/epi VT ablation
- RF, Cryo, PFA (Affera and Biosense)
- Mapping systems Ensite, Affera, Biosense
- Lead extraction
- A and V leadless pacing
- Physiologic pacing
- R&D opportunities
