Simulation Training

At WVU, we have developed a simulation curriculum to augment training the technical aspects of complex operations. The WVU Center for Simulation Training and Education for Patient Safety (STEPS) http://www.hsc.wvu.edu/steps/ offers an onsite facility with full-time staff to assist with simulation courses that will include didactic lectures, operative skills sessions, and formative evaluations. In addition to formal courses, there is a separate simulation room housed within the HVI adjacent to the resident call rooms to allow ad hoc training sessions
