Curriculum
First Year (PGY-1)
In their first year of training, residents build foundational patient care skills as they transition from medical school into post-graduate training with support and mentoring by faculty and senior residents.

Second Year (PGY-2)
In their second year of training, residents take on growing responsibilities in patient care, start teaching and mentoring junior residents, and begin to tailor their experiences with electives. The PGY-2 residents must also pass the 3rd and final step of their licensure exam.

Third Year (PGY-3)
In their final year of training, PGY-3 residents have substantial autonomy albeit with support from faculty. They have a large role in teaching junior residents. They also pursue their particular interests with four elective rotations and prepare for the Family Medicine Board exam which they will take before they graduate.
