Housed in Martinsburg, West Virginia, the West Virginia University School of Medicine's Eastern Campus is home to more than 120 faculty members, two residency programs, a fellowship program, a doctoral internship program and an immersive longitudinal curriculum for third-and-fourth-year medical students. The campus serves the nine-county Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, which includes Jefferson, Berkeley, Morgan, Hampshire, Mineral, Hardy, Grant, Pendleton and Tucker counties.
The Eastern Campus is home to the 200-bed Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, the 25-bed critical access hospital Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, Harpers Ferry Family Medicine; which serves 30,000 patients annually and a family of WVU Medicine outpatient clinics.
West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle offers an abundance of recreational opportunities including hiking trails, parks and whitewater rafting as well as various cultural and historical attractions. With its proximity to major cities like Washington D.C. and Baltimore, the Eastern Campus provides easy access to urban amenities while still offering the tranquility of small-town living.
