Ambulatory Pediatrics

The ambulatory pediatric rotation is a block-long outpatient clinical experience that takes place at WVU Medicine’s University Town Centre, a multidisciplinary outpatient clinical and diagnostic center. Residents will work with pediatric staff physician preceptors and pediatric residents in the acute care clinic for WVU Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics.

Residents will become proficient in the evaluation and management of common pediatric complaints and acute pediatric illnesses. Residents will also have the opportunity to see patients for well child examinations, school/sports physicals, and CDC recommended vaccination practices.
