Medicine Specialty Clinics
The medicine specialties clinics rotation is a block-long outpatient clinical experience that takes place at WVU Medicine’s Department of Internal Medicine clinic sites in Morgantown. This experience includes an outpatient focus on multiple specialties including, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Nephrology, Infectious Disease (including HIV and Hepatitis C clinics), Digestive Diseases, Pulmonology, and Cardiology.
You will have the opportunity to expand your depth of proficiency in a broad spectrum of patient encounters that will benefit your own continuity clinics. While this rotation will focus on developing your skills of clinical evaluation, differential diagnosis, management, maintenance, and consideration of appropriate specialty referral, it will also provide an opportunity for patient/family education regarding treatment options and preventative medicine.
