Morgantown boasts tons of recreation, from the refined Mylan Park with athletic fields and an aquatic center, to the more wild nearby state parks, including the popular Cooper's Rock State Forest. Monongalia County's Board of Parks and Recreation has information about city parks, and Morgantown boasts a popular rail-to-trail system with numerous entry points.
Morgantown also has a minor-league baseball team, the West Virginia Black Bears, and multiple opportunities to travel to North Central West Virginia's fairs and festivals.
The University also has the DIY Outdoors site that lets you browse by activity, including camping, caving, backpacking, skiing, swimming holes and more.
