IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The Fall 2018 Student Health Insurance Waiver is available now. The deadline for completion is August 1st Questions? Student Insurance Office. 304-293-6815. EVERY STUDENT is automatically enrolled in the University Insurance plan and assessed in the Fall tuition UNLESS a waiver has been submitted by the deadline and approved.

What’s Happening – Morgantown
MS4 Class of 2018
DIPLOMAS are sent to your address through the registrar’s contracted 3rd party. Student Services does NOT receive a copy of your diploma. You will receive an email notification from the Registrar’s Office to your portal account when your diploma has shipped, as long as there are no holds on your account. If you have a hold on your account, the diploma will be sent to the Registrar’s Office for storage purposes until the hold is lifted for a period of up to two years from conferral.

AHEC Rural Community Health Scholars Program is a new program offered to all graduate health professions students in the state of WV with at least 2 years remaining in their program. If you’re interested in in gaining experience in rural/underserved areas of West Virginia you’ll find more information on the attached fact sheet and visiting their website. SHELF EXAMS Friday, June 15, 2018. The Shelf Exam will be in the Library Computer Lab (First Floor WVU Building). You will have Desktop Computers, NO NEED FOR MAC BOOKS!!! Please arrive by 8:30am so we can check you in by 8:45am and begin at 9:00am.

Volunteer/Community Service Opportunities
Volunteer Speaking Opportunity – Prostate Cancer Support Group is looking for students to speak on various prostate cancer topics for 15-20 minutes, with a potential Q&A session. Meetings held 6:30-8:30pm on second Thursday of each month, 2nd floor of Dorothy McCormack Building. Contact Dr. Paul Kradel, 304-267-2520, if interested.
Stepping Stones/Good Samaritan Free Clinic – Volunteers needed every Wednesday at 5pm and first Tuesday of each month at 5pm. New location: 601 S. Raleigh Street, Martinsburg. To volunteer or for additional information: MS3 Ayita Verna (agverna@mix.wvu.edu).
Fun Volunteer Opportunity – Jefferson County Community Ministries Food Pantry, 238 W. Washington Street, Charles Town. 3rd Saturday of each month, beginning at 10am. Volunteers will work with Dr. Maddie Humerick, Chef Scott, and others to assist the food pantry patrons to improve their nutrition status with monthly cooking demonstrations.
