GQ response rate is up to 91%! Great work! The national average for the GQ is only 72%. Thank you!

DIPLOMAS are sent to your address through the registrar’s contracted 3rd party. Student Services does NOT receive a copy of your diploma. You will receive an email notification from the Registrar’s Office to your portal account when your diploma has shipped, as long as there are no holds on your account. If you have a hold on your account, the diploma will be sent to the Registrar’s Office for storage purposes until the hold is lifted for a period of up to two years from conferral.

MS3 Class of 2019

STUDENT STIPEND AVAILABLE Interested in a $75 per day stipend for working on a community health project with a community mentor during your required 4-week rural Family Medicine Clerkship rotation or 4-week Rural Track Internal Medicine rural rotation? That’s $1500 for the 4-week rotation! If you have a rotation scheduled or requested in one of these counties: Boone, Calhoun, Fayette, Lincoln, McDowell/Wyoming, Mercer, Mingo, Pocahontas or Roane, during Block 1, 2 or 3, then check out this program: Community and Rural Rotation Support – CARRS

PEDS Grand Rounds is broadcast from Morgantown every Wednesday 8-9 am. The first Wednesday is at the board room on the 8th floor of BMC.  Remaining sessions held at the ED conference room in ED of BMC.  If you are on a Pediatrics Week, please plan to attend.

Volunteer/Community Service Opportunities

Volunteers needed – Info table and blood pressure screening at Ranson Festival and Car Show (S. Mildred Street and 3rd Avenue, Ranson WV) on Sat., June 2nd, 2018, 10am-4pm.  Rain date: Sat., June 9th, 10am-4pm.  Contact Dana DeJarnett (ddejarnett@wvumedicine.org) for additional information or to volunteer. 

Volunteer Speaking Opportunity – Prostate Cancer Support Group is looking for students to speak on various prostate cancer topics for 15-20 minutes, with a potential Q&A session.  Meetings held 6:30-8:30pm on second Thursday of each month, 2nd floor of Dorothy McCormack Building.  Contact Dr. Paul Kradel, 304-267-2520, if interested. 

Stepping Stones/Good Samaritan Free Clinic – Volunteers needed every Wednesday at 5pm and first Tuesday of each month at 5pm.  New location: 601 S. Raleigh Street, Martinsburg.  To volunteer or for additional information: MS3 Ayita Verna (agverna@mix.wvu.edu). 

Fun Volunteer Opportunity – Jefferson County Community Ministries Food Pantry, 238 W. Washington Street, Charles Town.  3rd Saturday of each month, beginning at 10am.  Volunteers will work with Dr. Maddie Humerick, Chef Scott, and others to assist the food pantry patrons to improve their nutrition status with monthly cooking demonstrations.
