FLU SHOT SEASON is here! Be sure to get your flu shot and upload your documentation to Castle Branch. ALL Students must be in compliance by December 1, 2018.
COURSE REGISTRATION. You may receive an automated email from the Office of the University Registrar about spring registration – including a new system in which students are provided a time ticket of when their registration window will open. This automated message has been sent to ALL WVU students. The MD program registration will not change. You will hear from your campus Student Services team regarding when to register and what to register for in the upcoming weeks.

What’s Happening – Morgantown
IPE COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY Interested in a community service opportunity that targets an innovative forensic science house project? The Inter-Professional Education activity brings together medical, OT, graduate, and pharmacy students to do a standardized home assessment. Please email Amy Summers if interested in earning community service hours for this project.

WELLNESS AND GLOBAL HEALTH elective Jan 7-20, 2019. This elective will have several days of health and wellness education follow by a 9 day trip to Quito, Ecuador visiting hospitals, orphanages, and schools. For more information, email Dr. Lorenzetti. Cost will be around $2000 ($700 for flight and $1350 for room/board/transportation).

MANDATORY GTR SESSION. Getting to Residency 0.5 is Wednesday, November 14th at 4:00pm in 1901. This is your first GTR with an introduction to the match process and course scheduling for spring.
SAVE THE DATE. Getting to 4th Year Orientation will be held on February 4th at 4:30pm in 1901. You’ll learn about the 4th year curriculum, scheduling rotations, the Match process and more.

Stepping Stones/Good Samaritan Free Clinic – Volunteers needed every Wednesday at 5pm and first Tuesday of each month at 5pm. New location: 601 S. Raleigh Street, Martinsburg. To volunteer or for additional information: Ayita Verna (agverna@mix.wvu.edu).
Fun Volunteer Opportunity – Jefferson County Community Ministries Food Pantry, 238 W. Washington Street, Charles Town. 3rd Saturday of each month, beginning at 10am. Volunteers will work with Dr. Maddie Humerick, Chef Scott, and others to assist the food pantry patrons to improve their nutrition status with monthly cooking demonstrations. December Graduates – MD ceremony scheduled for Sat., Dec. 15th, 2018, 10am, at the Coliseum in Morgantown. Graduation application portal is now open. Wellness and Global Health Elective – Jan. 7-20, 2019.
