The Department of Medicine hosts several conferences throughout the year that allow faculty, residents, fellows and other learners to share advancements in their specialties with one another. The collegial and inclusive learning environment is critical to furthering the Department's mission and vision.

Anthony G. DiBartolomeo Internal Medicine Conference

Proudly hosted by the WVU Department of Medicine, the Annual Anthony G. DiBartolomeo Internal Medicine Conference was established as part of The Anthony G. DiBartolomeo Professorship honoring Dr. DiBartolomeo and his legacy of dedication to the WVU School of Medicine, the Department and the education of students in West Virginia.

The conference provides an opportunity for internists to hear from top physicians on today’s most influential medicine topics and grow their professional network across the health system, state and region. 

Diabetes Symposium

The Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology hosted the first Diabetes Symposium on November 18, 2022, at the Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown, WV.  Where participants engaged with cutting-edge research, hands-on workshops, and multidisciplinary lectures on diabetes care and management.  This conference provided an opportunity to discuss unique barriers of care for patients with diabetes and identify actions to overcome these in a patient centered manner.

John E. Parker WVU Pulmonary and Sleep Symposium

The John E. Parker WVU Pulmonary and Sleep Symposium is hosted by the WVU Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep.

This conference has been designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and members in the healthcare field interested in up-to-date information on inpatient and outpatient adult Pulmonary Lung diagnosis and Sleep Disorders.
