OPAT Program
The Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy Program (OPAT) consists of a team of multidisciplinary staff including an infectious diseases physician, infectious diseases pharmacists, a nurse and an administrative assistant. The mission of the OPAT Program is the ensure that all patients who are discharged from J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital complete their IV antimicrobial therapy safely and effectively. The team manages side effects, adverse reactions, dose adjustments, and any necessary measurements to ensure the patients have an appropriate follow up.
