Interview Selection Criteria
Candidates are selected for interviews on the basis of their medical school transcripts, United States Medical Licensing Examination scores, letters of recommendation and the personal criteria of each faculty member. Final selection is based on the preceding information, the interview and on evaluations of the applicant's fourth-year medical school rotations.
Interviews are conducted on a Saturday/Monday in December or January. Each candidate is interviewed by as many faculty members as possible. Candidates are assessed based on perceived intellectual ability and personality fit to the Department of Orthopaedics. Candidates have ample time to talk with residents in the program and to tour the facilities at WVU.
Interviews will be in-person, January 13 and January 15, 2024.
