Section of Neonatology

In announcing the 2005 Dean's Award for Excellence winners, Dean John Prescott cited the following in selecting the Section of Neonatology as a recipient:

"This section works as a team and cares for our smallest and most vulnerable patients. They have reduced the neonatal mortality rate in the State of West Virginia by more than 50% since the founding of the unit at our hospital more than 30 years ago. There patients and their families are truly grateful for what they do."
