Research Training Opportunities
Surgery Residents - The WVU Department of Surgery supports the exploration of clinical research questions and quality improvement projects during residency training. Mentors are available to engage residents in clinical projects in any of the divisions of Surgery. Research conducted in the WVU Department of Surgery has been recognized by resident presentations at national and international meetings.
Graduate Students - Graduate students in the MS in Health Science program can undertake an Independent Study research project into an area of surgical interest to aid them in career development. Undergraduate Students - Undergraduate students have the opportunity to work in the Department of Surgery on clinical and basic research projects.
