Registration open for WVU Department of Medicine Diabetes Symposium
Physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and healthcare workers who care for patients with diabetes are invited to attend the inaugural West Virginia University Diabetes Symposium on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at the Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown.
Attendees can expect to learn about many of the complications and new treatment options associated with diabetes in efforts to standardize and streamline care for diabetic patients.
Hosted by the Section of Endocrinology within the WVU Department of Medicine, attendees will engage with cutting-edge research, participate in hands-on workshops and learn from multidisciplinary lectures on diabetes care and management.

- Carb Counting and MNT
- Non-Insulin and Future Diabetes Medications
- Insulin Pumps and Continuous Glucose Monitors
- Hypoglycemia and Hyperglycemia
- Diabetes in Pregnancy
- Diabetic Gastroparesis
- Complications of Diabetes: Renal, Cardiovascular and Ophthalmologic
- Diabetic Neuropathy

Registration deadline for in-person attendees is Thursday, Nov. 10 and registration for virtual attendees is Thursday, Nov. 17.
