Mandatory Rotations

  • Cardiac OR Rotation 7 months
  • CVICU 1 month

Elective Experience

Fellows must complete at minimum one and a half months of elective rotations, and at maximum four months, related to the care of the cardiothoracic patient.

  • Advanced TEE Rotation (2 weeks, required) 
  • Cardiac Catheterization Rotation (10 days)
  • Cardiothoracic Surgical Assistant Rotation (2 weeks)
  • Clinical Informatics Rotation (1 month) 
  • Electrophysiology Rotation (2 weeks, required)
  • Experimental Healthcare Learning and Reflective Writing (2 weeks)
  • Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia Rotation (1 month) 
  • Perfusion Rotation (2 weeks, required)
  • Point-of-care Ultrasound (POCUS) Rotation (2 weeks-1 month)
  • Point-of-care Ultrasound (POCUS) Rotation for ASA POCUS Certification (1 month) 
  • Quality & Patient Safety Rotation (2 weeks)
  • Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine (2 weeks)
  • Research Rotation (1 month)
  • Thoracic Anesthesia Rotation (1 month, required)
