High Risk Obstetrics

Students learn about prenatal diagnosis, obstetrical ultrasounds, as well as antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care of high-risk mother and fetus. The students will obtain a basic knowledge of fetal monitoring, ultrasound, and pathophysiology of common high-risk obstetrical problems by working with a perinatologist and resident staff. Students are assigned patients and will participate in daily decision making through diagnostic testing and therapy.
